Effect of electro-stimulation and muscle immobilization
Mohammed Bouhadi
The effect of electrical stimulation and muscular immobilization were studied in the frogs Rana lessonae. Firstly, the study of the effect of electrical stimulation on the gastrocnemius muscle, shows after the dosage a collapse of the quantity of muscle glycogen. On the other hand, the study of the muscular immobilization shows, after 24h, 48h and 72h of fixation of one of the hind legs, a decrease of the glycogen rate in the gastrocnemius muscle according to the immobilization time, with a fall of the muscular force which becomes null from 48h.
