Experience Elvis like never before in EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, the documentary/concert film by Baz Luhrmann.

While working on his 2022 film Elvis, Luhrmann and his team uncovered a true treasure trove of long-forgotten film negatives and footage in the Warner Bros. archives. The material originates from the documentary films Elvis: That's the Way It Is (capturing his Las Vegas residency in August 1970) and Elvis on Tour (filmed during his U.S. tour in 1972), along with never-before-seen 8mm footage and previously unheard audio of Elvis Presley himself speaking about his life.

Luhrmann and his team spent several years restoring this material in collaboration with Oscar-nominated Jonathan Redmond, Park Road Post Production—founded by Peter Jackson—as well as a wide range of additional contributors. What ultimately emerged—beyond Presley’s iconic and unparalleled live energy—was the man behind the myth: “completely at ease on stage, able to feel his fans’ genuine love and communicate with an intimacy and humanity unlike any other artist,” as Luhrmann describes it.

The finished film stands as a testament to Elvis’ 1970s performances, which were astonishingly ahead of their time. It is both a tribute to an era and to an artist who forever changed popular music. With meticulously restored picture and sound, every detail appears sharper than ever—allowing both dedicated fans and new generations to experience Elvis as if they were truly there.
