Without Warning is a cold war thriller, set at a time when the Soviet Union and United States faced off, Communism vs. Capitalism. A high-stakes standoff restrained only by mutually assured destruction. Each country had about twenty minutes warning time to make the decision to retaliate against a first strike by the other. Soviet leaders manufactured a way to eliminate the warning time of the United States, giving their first strike and anti-ballistic missile systems a chance for success.
