He received an MS in Psychology from Abilene Christian University, followed by a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling from California State University. He received his Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from Southern California University. He lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, dogs, and has two grown children and their families who live in the area.
