As a last minute, cheap alternative to a senior trip, Jaymee Gregory and her best friend plan a weekend trip to Point Peak Resort and Lodge. The weekend starts as planned. A relaxing time at a beautiful resort. Shortly after their arrival, Jaymee encounters Jake Walker, a local who has an obvious attraction to her. Despite her constant reminder to herself that she has a boyfriend, Jaymee can't deny the attraction she feels for Jake as well. In the short time she spends with Jake, Jaymee realizes things about herself that she had never noticed before. The more she gets to know him, the more she gets to know herself. After a terrible lapse in judgement, Jaymee does something that she instantly regrets. She leaves Point Peak quickly and un-expectantly; leaving behind a confused Jake who is left with nothing but her first name and a handful of memories. That weekend is the beginning of a series of back-to-back events that change the course of Jaymee's life forever. After three years, Jaymee and Jake meet again. Just the sight of Jake brings back a flood of emotions that Jaymee doesn't want to relive.
