Drafted is a coming of age military comedy about Eli Jones, who in 1966 is plucked out of his small town life and illegally drafted into the U. S. Army during the life-threatening era of Vietnam. Despite his mantra "I'm not supposed to be here," Eli adapts, making many new friends - Harry, Tex, Steve, the Professor, Sam and Nurse Sara - who help him survive Colonel Clark, Sergeant "Must kill Eli" Wolinski, nude fire drills, a snake-charming stripper, and being buried alive.
