Inconsequential Sunflower God

At this point in his life, Peter was unsure if he was going seriously crazy or if maybe some of Carina's evil was contagious. But he most definitely was not about to admit that there was a flutter in his stomach every time he was called to her, every time she looked at him, regardless of the usual disappointment that clouded her eyes. His attempts at pushing these thoughts aside were vigorous but they kept creeping back. And the more attention he gave to them the more real they became. Not only had he convinced himself that Carina was more than meets the eye, that under all the villainy lay a compassionate, lost girl who just wanted to be saved; he had convinced himself that he was the one that was going to save her. But how (or why?) he was going to do that, he had no idea. Especially when he was in the screwiest of positions himself.
