It is almost a mystical concept. It is there but you can't see it. It is real but you can only feel it sometimes even though you can't put your hands on it. Faith alludes us when life gets tough; and at the same time faith is like the solid core at the center of the earth that keeps the entire planet connected to the rest of the universe while all things on our planet remains in place. Faith doesn't have a skin color, neither does faith have teeth wherewith to bite; but without faith the protective covering for our existence is gone and there is nothing for our humanity to clamp down on when struggles get the best of us. Faith is our way to the reality of every spiritual thing that is divine. Faith does not only bring us to the reality of the person and plan of God in our lives, it also builds a depth of confidence in us so that we might be able to stand against odds, tragedies, financial storms, divorce, nervous breakdowns, and even the death of our loved ones. Faith never leaves us. Faith doesn't neglect us. Faith never blindsides us with things we cannot handle. What we gain from this phenomenon is the ability to endure things that can destroy our lives. How we are able to make it through any of it is a wonder in the first place. How a mother of three children is able to go back to school, work a full time job, and get food on the table each night is a miracle of faith. How a man is able to pick his life up after he has ruined his marriage is a miracle of faith and forgiveness.
