It's a few weeks away from the Christmas Ball, the prom like dance at Hillmaker Heights High School. Three of the schools, very different, but equally popular seniors are about to engage in a bizarre love triangle that will have the whole school talking! Mitch Maraldo is the typical hunk starting linebacker of the football team who just had his heart broken by his girlfriend of two years who cheated on him. Nobody could have expected that. Now, newly single for the first time in a long time, he is one of the most sought after guys to date in the school. He knows it and so do all the girls. Rosemarie McCarthy is the typical pretty blond who is an academic wiz. She is the captain of the soccer team and is in student government. She also applying to ivy league schools and seems to have it all going for her except a boyfriend which she so very much desires. Rosemarie has had her eye on Mitch for a long time and now that he's back on the market, she hopes he will ask her to the Ball. Amber Hudson is the typical pretty stoner girl who is adored by the geeks and jocks alike because she is so mysterious. She is probably just as smart as Rosemarie but her grades are so bad and won't be going to college because she refuses to do anything in school. Her only ambitions in life are doing drugs, painting and hanging with her loser friends. And she can't stand Mitch and Rosemarie's kind, they are the bane of her existence.
