Life changes for Benjamin Little on his thirteenth birthday when he finds a package addressed to him on the doorstep of his foster home. Inside is a white wolf cub. But this is no ordinary wolf. This is Conin of the Canai Wolves and he is Ben's Guardian. After Ben's powers are unleashed during a run in with the school bully, Ben discovers he comes from a long line of Magickals and could hold the key to an ancient prophecy known as the Legend of the Eight. The prophecy tells of a child called 'The Aon', who will have the power to lead the 'Eight' and bring peace to their world. But the evil Malacor has sent his ruthless General Monk to hunt for Ben whom he believes to be the Aon and he will stop at nothing to thwart the prophecy. For safety, Ben and his Guardian must travel to the magical lands of Kerenthia where adventure and danger awaits them. They are not alone though. With them are a misfit group of unlikely heroes: Marrok Bellator the Warrior and his Wolf Guardian Aatu; Poppy and Piper Pepperpots, the colourfully eccentric bird shifters; Orvin Worrywart, a round, sweet loving, clumsy boy who isn't very good with his magic; Willow Rosewood, a powerful yet mysterious girl with a Wood Peewee Guardian called Swift and other unlikely friends made along the way that will stand with them to the end.
