40 years after their debut, Dutch all-star group Focus still ring many bells. After the classics Moving Waves, Focus III and Hamburger Concerto, now Ship of Memories (1977) gets the audiophile vinyl re-issue treatment. Though no regular album, but more a collection of rarities from the early back catalogue, the album sounds both more diverse and strikingly consistent. Ultimate proof of the genius of Thijs van Leer, Jan Akkerman, Bert Ruiter and Pierre van der Linden!
