Wade Bradford
"Yes. It had been her, my mistress all along, with her tanexterior, built with walls that rise and fall according to thevarious sizes of the eight movie screens beneath herinviting architecture. The neon was her make-up, blue and red, bright anddecadent. Trashy, yet sexy. The poster cases in frontdisplayed her livelihood, her fleeting pastimes, her current but brief boyfriends who were just passingthrough town. She wasn't a classy dame like the single-screened girls downtown, dressed in brownstone and good taste. She was born a suburban child, a multi-plex,and she hoped to please everybody."Welcome to the Royal Cinemas. Enjoy Your Show. Welcome to the Royal Cinemas
