Swooning is a story of longing for a way of falling in love, for kinds of cities and places and styles of song, and for that last moment in time before American culture became a slave to anxiety. Set in the Fall of 1963 in a world of Manhattan nightclubs and jazz, of crooners and gangsters from places like Cleveland and Bay Ridge. The Beatles were around the corner and shadowy figures were making plans for Assassination Autumn. It was all about to end.
