'Narada Ramayanam' is an allegory of Indian history till she attained Independence. Pudumaipithan, the Prometheus of modern Tamil literature, penned this classic. He lived and wrote in the first half of the 20th century. The Government of the State of Tamilnadu in India nationalised his works to make them freely accessible to the discerning readers. The Tamil classic is faithfully rendered into English by an experienced, now retired professor of English, S. Ganesan. In the centenary year of Pudumaipithan's birth the book is presented to a wider circle of readers.
