Homeless and heartbroken when her husband files for divorce so that he can become a celibate monk, TeriLeigh packs her Prius and travels across the United States with her dog. Beginning at a North-woods Minnesota cabin, she greets Grief and lets him guide her through an ice storm in Iowa. She then meets Strength and Vulnerability in the warm sunshine of Florida, and takes a back-seat to Solitude along the winding highways of the east coast. Perspective shows her a different point of view in New York City, and Grace gives her insight at a sacred bay in Maui.




Welcomed into the guest bedrooms and at the dining tables of family and friends, TeriLeigh stitches her broken heart with the help and nurturing wisdom of a breast cancer survivor, a Vietnam veteran, a therapy dog, a transgender man, a dominatrix, and more. Through her journey, TeriLeigh learns that home is not a place but a feeling, love is not an emotion but a state of being, and wounds are not curses, but rather, precious gifts of life.
