When a mining company with a licence to drill CSG wells moves next door to Steph's small rural property, they drive her from her home. She accepts a position as a tutor on an isolated Queensland property. Nick, the brother of her employer and co-owner of the station, arrives for a visit. While attempting to protect his property from the imminent danger, Nick pushes Steph away. With help from the daughter of her employers, Steph unearths the secret that Nick would not share. Angry at his lack of faith Steph accepts a job on another property. When Nick realises that Steph's intervention has helped to resolve the Thornton family's problem, Nick understands that he has made a huge mistake. Filled with remorse, Nick sets about trying to locate Steph. Once he finds Steph will he be able to convince her that his regret is genuine? Will it be possible to repair their damaged relationship?
