Whitetails and Tall Tales
Susan Lindsley
From an unethical elk hunter in Montana to a drunk fisherman who hauls in the world's largest bass that isn't, these stories ring of the outdoors and the conflicts between hunters, fishermen and the "wanta be's." This author takes the reader into the land of the improbable, into the realm of dreams and hopes, into the halls of justice served and justice impossible.
A young girl outfoxes a poacher. Three judges face the local game warden. A bird lover turns himself into a bird feeder. The dead speak. Mountains shutter. Poachers get more than their come-uppance, and a new TV system is introduced, called Real Life TV. (You might not want one of these in your living room!)
Lindsley has turned her award-winning talents from reality-based novels and non-fiction to combine the darkness of the writings of Edgar Allen Poe and the ending twists of O. Henry.
