Fur Pirates
A M Chisholm
A fortune in stolen furs, secreted in the Canadian Northwest for 20 years, is avidly sought by rival factions! In the wilderness fringing the great Carcajou River, 18-year-old Bob Cory joins recovering invalid Jim Dunleath and a wealthy Eastern sportsman named Fothergill on the quest to uncover $100,000 in stolen pelts cached 20 years before on one of the small islands dotting the nearby Burnt- wood Lakes. Their expedition is imperiled by a group of pirates among whom is one of the original thieves, a clever and ruthless but not altogether un- sympathetic character who has befriended young Bob Cory. A. M. Chisholm's dazzling tour de force, unabashedly modeled after the classic Treasure Island, is just as gripping today as it was back in 1915 when originally published! This is the fourth volume in the "Forgotten Classics of Pulp Fiction" series.
