Whirlwind is a short story about Eric Mogorosi, a Psychologist in Potchefstroom who feels like he is going mad. He is not over the love of his life, Ruth, whom he split with 18 months prior. After a fair bit of turmoil and much to the delight of his friends, Lesego and Lilly Temane, he ends up marrying Palesa, whom he is not sure he loves and this causes him to feel guilt. Soon after he is married, Ruth comes back to Potchefstroom to claim him back and Eric is now faced with a choice: to choose between the woman that loves him, and the one he loves.
