Decades ago, meals looked quite a bit different than most dinners look today. Since we have the luxuries of restaurant and boxed meals delivered to our homes, we don't have to cook at home quite so often. When you do want to prepare meals at home, you probably have time constraints, so you may choose simpler recipes to prepare than people did just 20-40 years ago. Slow cooker, Instant Pot and One pot dishes are easier to prepare with your hurried schedule. But you'll find it enjoyable to jazz up dinner every so often. That's the perfect time to bring back some of the retro dishes that are ready for revival. While the home cooks of today are using foods logically, many older recipes like those in this cookbook may even seem a little wacky. They were certainly innovative, especially for the time. Of course, gelatin molds pretty much stayed back in the day when they were used more frequently, although grandparents may have some treasured molds hung on the wall of their pantries. On the other hand, some retro recipes like chicken a la king and Johnny Marzetti pasta, were truthfully delicious. There are lots of vintage appetizers, too. You don't need a time machine to bring these retro delicacies back to life. It's high time that some of these classic recipes made their way back onto dinner tables. Try out a few!
