Publisher Marketing: This paper outlines a program started at the United States Central Command Air forces (USCENTAF) for their War Reserve Material Program (WRM). Virtual Afloat is a program designed to reconfigure USCENTAF's WRM for more efficient storage capacity, while increasing the deployment capability. USCENTAF requested Air Command and Staff College for recommendations that may improve their Virtual Afloat program. The methodology follows through the use of a key word, enabler. The National Security Strategy, National Military Strategy, United States Central Command, United States Central Command Air Force and Agile Combat Support, War Reserve Material, Army Pre-positioned Stocks, Marine Pre-positioned Stocks, Base Expeditionary Airfield Resources, the current status of USCENTAF War Reserve Materials and what is currently on the port are the topics discussed. I have made six recommendations to include the purchase of specific types of seavans, the number of seavans, and the movement of assets to specific locations after being reconfigured and stored in the seavans. Two of the six recommendations are discussed as possible future research topics. My conclusions deduce that the recommendations made in this paper, can make the recommendations possible, in a readily short amount of time. The conclusions acknowledges that this program is underway, but supports the recommendations made.
