Empowering Walls is a mural how-to manual that focuses on the creation of murals as a tool of community empowerment. Murals give a place where public identity and perception can be shaped and constructed. Building off the rich history of murals as a form of social formation and the author's experience, the manual is comprised of five main chapters: Murals, Power, Team, Make, and Equip. Through step-by-step instructions the reader will be able to work with the community, find a wall, prepare the surface and artwork, paint the mural, and celebrate the completed piece.
