Dr. Peterson was born in Fort Lauderdale Florida. He attended primary school at Larkdale elementary. Dr. Peterson attended middle school at Lauderhill located in Lauderhill Florida. He attended Piper high school located in Sunrise, Florida. He is married and has seven children and six grandchildren. Dr. Peterson has been employed in both the public and private school system. He is the founder of Chosen Generation Academy located in Opa-Locka Florida. Dr. Peterson is currently employed in the Dekalb County school system located in Stone Mountain, Georgia as a Special Education Teacher. He has worked as a classroom teacher, substance abuse counselor, behavior specialist, and senior pastor. Dr. Peterson holds doctoral level certification from the Georgia Department of Education in Educational Leadership Administration, Special Education and Early Childhood Education. Among his academic accomplishments, Dr. Peterson graduated from St. Thomas University located in Miami Florida, where he received a bachelor degree in Human Services, a Master's degree in Special Education and a master's degree in Educational Leadership Administration. Dr. Peterson graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Organizational Leadership with a minor degree in Conflict Resolution. Dr. Peterson has conducted numerous workshops pertaining to education and behavior modification. His educational career spans over 12 years. Dr. Peterson has also conducted extensive research on the topic of education and black males.
