Legacies; an American Journey
Jim Ricca
A family of Italian-Americans with a proud tradition of military and police service, flee to America to avoid murderous retribution by Mussolini and La Cosa Nostra. They pledge to serve their new homeland by continuing their battle against the Mafia, and then enlist to fight in World War II. The second generation of the family is drafted into the Vietnam war with completely unexpected results. Their story describes the very human side of these immigrant warriors and policemen. It recalls events that never made it into any history books or newspapers, and for damn good reasons! You?ll laugh, cry and cringe as you enjoy one of the most exciting, and hilarious unofficial histories of war and law enforcement of the 20th century.
