Growing Up on Grace
Jr Ernest Spiva
Like a Norman Rockwell painting, Ernest Spiva, Jr. shares his joy and excitement in growing up on Grace Avenue in Panama City, Florida. A descendant of two Bay County pioneer families, he was an entertaining storyteller with a memory for details and a subtle sense of humor. As he matured, Ernest struggled with what to do. Instead of pursuing his dream to be a doctor, he chose a career in education and became a beloved teacher and administrator. His memoir is a unique blend of history and nostalgia.
