When Gia meets Sophie's father, Jackson, a handsome musician, goofball, and widower, there is an instant attraction but she is leery of getting into another relationship. The men in her life can't handle her competitive spirit and she's grown weary of messing with them. Sophie has other ideas. Her father has been searching for the ideal replacement of the wife he lost and he hasn't had much luck in the dating department himself. Sophie believes Gia, the total opposite of what he's been looking for, is the woman to change all that. For a while the relationship blossoms, but when things escalate into weirdness with drug-dealing gang members, a love-struck mobster that won't take no for an answer, Sophie's escalating bully problem, a rival fighter that wants Gia's head on a platter, and a violent past that finally catches up to her, will Jack be able to handle it? And will Sophie finally be able to give the bully what she deserves?
