Forty weeks before the wedding of my son Jonathan, to his fiancé Lynn, I was praying about what I could do to bless them in a unique way. It came to me in a flash, and I immediately knew it was an inspiration from the heart of God. I was to take the accumulated experiences and lessons that I had walked through and learned with my own bride, Lenora, of over 30 years, and condense these into a 40 week marriage devotional. I would write, one devotional every Friday for the 40 weeks leading up to their special day. Though written with two young people in mind, I do believe that God's principles are timeless and can be valuable to all. Whether you are newlywed, midway through life's journey, or in the latter years of a long and faithful covenant, there is something in these pages that can stir us all.
