Christian wisdom has continued to evolve over the past two thousand years, and yet we try to make it all consistent with the sacred Bible. This is a lot like putting new wine in old wineskins. As a result, religion has increasingly been moved to the sideline over the past two hundred years.

Civilization has experienced big advances in wealth and technology, but there is a desperate hunger for spiritual transformation, cutting across cultures and religions. It is time that we realize that happiness and fulfillment are fundamentally spiritual in their nature, so that the church is the key to what we want in life.
