Space opera. On July 20 of 1978, a girl from Earth called Alice Roanoke is teleported to the star system Epsilon Eridani. On Planet Xiotan, a lush green paradise, she learns how to live in a very advanced alien culture. Not for any random taste. The famous H. G. Wells debut Scientific Romance. The Time Traveler. updated. Steampunk in reverse. Aka the Crab Eyed People of "Ran". Alice is a journalist who values this new home. The supreme ruler of that star system, Empress Zenobia Galaxa, has a covert war to fight. Consider Alice and other Terrans drafted into monstrous Space Armies as those fightancient galactic wars. As it says in the blurb on our back cover so dramatically. Confusing plot, with wonderful astronomy, exobiology, sociology and more. For academics.
