Violence is a plague that has affected the human race since the beginning of time. Horrific acts of murder, rape, and assault too appalling to speak of or even think of have occurred time and time again through the world's history. The frequency of these acts are a daily occurrence. Is there protection? Is there a way to prevent such great acts of evil from happening to you? What can we do to be better prepared in facing such tragedy? Many have turned to physical preparations in answering these questions. But I fear that physical preparations alone won't be enough. Evil men have often gained great power over others and will continue to do so. This has been the history of our world. In fact, it has been said that only 4.5 percent of the people who have ever lived on the earth did so under conditions that we could consider free. For the majority of the world's history there have been many wars and rumors of wars and men who have oppressed, violated, and murdered millions of people. If history is any evidence of what to expect in the future, it would be wise to learn how to protect ourselves. But we will need to go beyond the merits of our physical abilities. The dangers that we will face will be overwhelming. We must seek superior weapons that can overcome any attacker. These weapons are not made by man, but from a higher level of technology. Learning how to understand this higher level of protection and how to use superior spiritual weapons will be the key to our survival. It is extremely important that we don't wait until an attack on our lives before we think about being prepared. We must be actively engaged now in making all of the possible preparations that we can.
