In this fourth book in the William Bell Detective series Bill finds himself defending his friend Tony, charged with the murder of a man trying to weasel in on his distribution operations. He ends up chasing a Neo-Nazi assassin. Meanwhile 2 of his friends are being hassled by some racist. He thinks they are separate cases but eventually finds they are connected. With the help of the Eureka police and his FBI associations he tracks down the man responsible for all the trouble. The story takes place in Eureka and involves his circle of friends again.
