Saaskia Aark-Bennett

AUSTRALIAN SCOREs Saaskia Aark-Bennett

Once again SASKIA (with two a's in her name, the author has three) finds herself enmeshed with unique and extraordinary people. Unfortunately some have serious scores to settle. Saskia needs to extract herself from their contrasting lives to be able to continue on her way, marked and yet probably unchanging, from some very dramatic experiences. An amusing and thought-provoking story as the irrepressible SASKIA postpones her own personal moment of truth and seems to skirt a crime. Could her good friend JILL really have killed someone - and if so, why? - and what should Saskia do about it? How are these magnificent horses involved in all of this? Meanwhile could Saskia believe in the elegant IGOR of the lapis-blue eyes and strange interests? What about his aristocratic Russian family - and anyway, where is the legendary Kalnikov diamond ring - just who has put their hot little hands on it? The people Saskia becomes meets, the dramas that face them all, could perhaps happen to any of us, anywhere in the world, at any moment, but would we have Saskia's resources to deal with them? Readers will surely sympathize and compare themselves with many characters and events which fill these pages as Saaskia Aark-Bennett's adventures and social commentaries on the changing world of women's liberation in the early 1970's take her through the contrasting worlds of the Australian Outback and sophisticated Sydney city life
