Manuel is young, innocent, and unique. Some people call him strange and others mistakenly say he is a vampire. He vowed to make his 25th year the year of self-discovery. Oddly, his search keeps luring him back to the cemetery near his house in East Los Angeles. One night, he brings his friend, Lizzy, with him to the cemetery and their lives would never be the same. After a major earthquake, they travel to a new world through an underground portal and have to learn a whole new way of living. In his quest to find himself, Manuel learns more than just where he came from. He also learns to be open-minded, courageous, and to love.
