Joan of Arc Was a Murderer
Abbie Normal
Abbie Normal has been publishing poetry since she was fifteen. Her previous books are 'A Woman Walks Down the Street' and 'Odyshape', both available from Bent Press. Normal played bass and sang in the 90's queercore band Fagatron before focusing all her attention on writing. In 'Joan of Arc Was a Murderer', Normal explores her schizophrenia and homicidal ideation through the lens of one of her heroes, Joan of Arc. If you're looking for the authentic voice of a neuro-atypical author in her own words, while also exploring the realms of Catholic mysticism and the intersection of trans and queer issues, this book is for you.
