CHARLES Smith is a man with an ordinary name but an unusual past. Caroline Banham, with the help of her trusted assistant James Taylor, uses all of her skills as she tracks down leads, from the staff of a German hospital to an old school building that houses secrets from Charles' mysterious past. And what's in the dusty cellar of the Smith home on Darnley Terrace, a dark space where Caroline has a dangerous encounter with a shadowy figure trying to stop her investigation?
