Leaving Smoky Creek is about a man named Gary Sills. He came from rural area called Smoky Creek with very little money but he had pride. He was a smart young man that didn't have anyway to improve his life. He had a woman he loved but after some deception from his wife he left Smoky Creek with a divorce and custody of her two children which were of another man. He made a good life for him and the children. He also had many many encounters with different woman that led to a very colorful life.
