Mexican Salmon is the story of Hudson Pierce, an unhappy big city lawyer and freshman novelist. He leaves behind his career, and with little money and no plan, moves himself to the Mexican Pacific coast where he is absorbed with literature and writing. He has dreams of Europe, but is confronted with a stream of unexpected personal crises, forcing him to make life-changing decisions, which could frustrate his ambitions. Through his journey he meets: A Catholic priest; Rita, the beautiful Mexican woman; a fast-talking Hollywood producer; the rancher, Gene, and his family; Anya, a bookish young woman; a horse named Dusty and a runty young muted boy. The story is about a man struggling to find his life's meaning and real love.
