I am a mother of three. Two have completed college, and my son, who has a learning disability, made the deans list. My youngest, who also has a learning disability, is still in high school. What do you do when your child is struggling in school? How do you handle when school officials tell you that your child cannot cope with the mainstream? How do you react when you learn your child has a learning disability? Do you still think about college for your child? Of course you do! Mine is a true story about how children with learning disabilities can indeed succeed. Mine is a true story about how I navigated and even went against school administrators to obtain the best plan for my child.
