Tragedy, love, comradeship and shattered dreams. These are some of the elements that have made up the adventures and challenges of Clive Harman's life. And they have all made into Harman's tale of Danny Fox, "Shattered Dreams: The Story of My Life," a fiction novel, which takes its key elements from Harman's own personal experiences. The lead character Danny Fox finds himself challenged, Watching his mother suffer through cancer in his youth, by loss and a rough environment. One thing was constant throughout much of this, though: His dream of becoming a teacher of dyslexic children. This pressure only builds as he grows in age. Clashes with street criminals and he's likely saved only by entering the military under court order. His military career followed From his basic training in Aldershot onto selection training for Special Forces. The arduous runs, of the six-week endurance test, with full kit across the deceptive hills of the Brecon Beacons part of the Hereford countryside that ended with a forty-mile march, over the Pen-Y-Fan that had to be completed in less than twenty-hours with a full pack on and carrying a rifle without its sling. Finding him in combat across the world and the challenges, build and build. But would he be able to attain what he wanted so badly? Or was he destined to have nothing but the shards of his shattered dreams to keep him company, no matter how hard he tried...?
