"People's lives are on the line and they haven't even read the bill," read the headlines and news videos, even the morning that the House was to vote on the AHCA bill. Truth is, most of us have never read the bill. And we are too often persuaded by the pundits on either side of an issue before we get the facts. That's why I was motivated to publish and share the full text of The American Health Care Act of 2017 (H. R. 1628). And now, a second edition updated with the Better Care Reconciliation Act. How Congress will resolve all their differences, and how quickly, is unclear. But one things IS clear: the patients can't wait - nor can the doctors, the hospitals, the insurers, and all the other stakeholders in health care.
