Contributor Bio: Milson, Andrew J Andrew Milson is a professor of social science education and geography at the University of Texas at Arlington. He taught middle school history and geography near Dallas, Texas. Andy conducts research on geographic education and the use of geospatial technologies in education. He has published more than 30 articles and is an elected member of the Executive Board of the National Council for Geographic Education. He serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Geography. Contributor Bio: Bohan, Chara Haeussler Chara Haeussler Bohan is Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Baylor University. She earned a Ph. D. from The University of Texas at Austin, a master's degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University. Her research on Lucy Maynard Salmon earned the Kappa Delta Pi Educational Foundation Distinguished Dissertation Award. She taught at Horace Mann School and William B. Travis High School. Reports of her research have been published in "Theory and Research in Social Education, Journal of Curriculum and Supervision, Social Studies and the Young Learner, and Peter Lang's forthcoming "Social Education in the Twentieth Century: Curriculum and Context for Citizenship. Contributor Bio: Null, J Wesley J. Wesley Null is a curriculum theorist and historian of education at Baylor University, where he holds appointments in the School of Education and the Honors College. Null teaches curriculum and foundations of education in the School of Education and interdisciplinary courses on social science and great texts in the Honors College. Null is co-editor, with Diane Ravitch, of Forgotten Heroes of American Education: The Great Tradition of Teaching Teachers (2006). He is also the editor of The Pursuit of Curriculum: Schooling and the Public Interest (2006). Null is the author of A Disciplined Progressive Educator: The Life and Career of William Chandler Bagley (Peter Lang, 2003), and has published widely on curriculum theory and educational history. He is currently serving as editor of the American Educational History Journal.
