But I Digress
Shirley Spires Baechtold
But I Digress contains Hilarious Shirley Emails, my published newspaper columns, and some unpublished essays. The emails I send to 38 friends and families in eight states are about the funny and sometimes bizarre things that happen to me on a regular basis.
Funny Stuff happens, Amazon mistakenly delivers a gun cleaner to me, the quintessential gun-hater. I spray my hair with Gillette Shaving Cream.
Bad Stuff happens too. A pipe freezes, the ceiling falls, and The Eternal Footman snickers. If I can't find the humor or absurdity in Bad Stuff, I don't write about it.
