Read all the words of Jesus in the New Testament in half the time! Draw closer to him! What is it? It's the QT - it's all about Jesus. It's all about him: from the Gospels to Revelations in one small book. It combines traditional red- letter sayings in your bible, and the Q Hypothesis, with minimal editorial summations. "Q" is a German word (Quelle), which means source. Jesus is the source! Critical scholars hypothesize that the oral sayings of Jesus: miracles, healings, preaching, parables, and ethical lessons, and so on, were first written down in a collection, before the discovery of the four Gospels. Furthermore, they postulate Mark is the oldest; Matthew and Luke used Mark as their source; and in addition to Mark-Matthew and Luke drew on the so-called Q document. Gomes is a professor, author, ordained minister in the American Baptist Church, and a family man. He holds three degrees: BA, MA, and Doctorate in Ministry. Has earned the Masters in Religious Studies from Harvard University. Pastored rural and urban churches, and engaged in foreign missions in the West African Islands of Cape Verde. As an adjunct instructor at David Lipscomp University, Dr. Gomes taught: New Testament courses; bio-medical ethics; business ethics; and biblical ethics courses. Published and co-authored Special Words with his wife Linda, and has two un-published books at Harvard and Memphis Theological libraries: Religion and Politics in the African American context, and Religion and Culture in the American Cape Verdean Context. Dr. Gomes was a recipient of Harvard's Derek Bok Prize for a paper on Parting Ways: the Monument in the Making, and a Lilly Endowment Foundation Grant recipient.
