In a hot and crowded Chicago airport, Roger finds himself struggling to reach his departure gate against a sea of passengers. In a momentary lapse of attention, he runs head-long into a beautiful young woman, Katie, walking in the opposite direction. Attempting to help her up and apologizing for his lack of judgement, Roger suddenly finds himself overtaken. Smitten. Overwhelmed by her beauty and poise. Believing he was just shot by Cupid's arrow and realizing the risk he was taking, he decides to run after her, introduce himself, and ask her to lunch.



Katie, highly suspicious of his intentions, nevertheless accepts his invitation. Unexpectantly, the conversation between the two of them quickly devolves into lively verbal jabs and dares, back and forth teasing, and some bad jokes. Despite the notion the lunch was a failure, a romance between the two of them blossoms from there.



Roger, deeply in love with Katie, has no idea how she feels about him. As their relationship grows, he burns with desire to tell her, yet lacks the courage to do so. Until one day. One day where Katie says something that turns his life upside down.
