This is the story of two young people deeply in love with each other.

Matthew and Penny first met in high school and had been in love ever since. They planned to marry in June, six months from now. However, two days before Christmas, Matthew received a letter from his commanding officer, telling him to report back to the base the day after Christmas. This unexpected turn of events put a damper on everyone's Christmas. Although, they all kept their bright smiles and pleasant conversations. Later down the road, distressing news came that no one expected and changed lives forever.
