Adam Taylor, a socially awkward fisherman off the coast of Maine, gets caught in a violent storm, shipwrecked, and subsequently rescued from an unusually strange island. While recovering at a hospital, Adam begins to tell the story to his doctor, but as the day passes his tale turns strange, supernatural, and at times even darkly comedic. Adam's story forces him to confront demons both personal and literal and even his doctor might be more than she appears.
