Inspired by the voices of the Me Too movement, M. E. K. (/m?k/) takes us on a journey from childhood to womanhood as she struggles to find herself within the context of generational abuse, female stereotypes, religious dogmas, and oppressive gender roles. Masterfully blending a rich tapestry of emotions, sounds, silences, and visuals by utilizing space, text, and format on each page M. E. K. achieves a new and unique style of poetic expression while offering the reader a healing catharsis. Raw and unashamedly vulnerable, M. E. K. reminds us that we are not alone as we discover a shared resiliency: "It is through our trials and tribulations that we have something to say.
