One young woman's view of her struggle to reveal her true 'identity' to her Caribbean heritage parents and extended family. She clearly understood the torment which ensued for many people to reconcile and understand that she was an individual, unique and with specific differences. She knew that there would be an outpouring of support for her if perhaps she had a terminal illness but there were explicit and understood principles governing and surrounding her 'difference' and often within the Caribbean there was little mercy.
