Adam Schrader has released a book of dark and exploratory poetry written with accompanying hand-drawn illustrations that feature a variety of characters. These poems are a striking verbal assault, and contain imagery of economic death, loneliness, religion, relationships and political themes. Some of them were picked out from his high school journals. But for the most part, they were written in October of 2019. The illustrations create a sensory overload enhancing the mood of each poem, and were mostly pulled from old journals. The cover photo was taken at Standing Rock protests Schrader was covering for the New York Daily News (and a now-defunct news organization he founded called Wanderer News).
