Saving Shaydyn is a book that describes our family's journey of losing our grandson to the foster care system and having to wade our way through caseworkers with hidden agendas until finally arriving at a place that Shaydyn became our son by adoption. The book holds nothing back and even though it ends in victory, the journey is filled with pain and struggles. My husband and I were both naive to the system and all of its intricacies, but it didn't take us long to recognize that we needed our faith to be stronger than at any point in our lives. When everything around you says no and God says yes, then we can claim victory, or as Shaydyn says, "God protected me."
